John McKibbon, Chief Executive Officer of M3 Hotel Accounting, has over 30 years experience in the hotel business, as owner and manager of hotels franchised with Marriott, Starwood and Hilton.

John began his career in the industry as a teenager, working in the family-owned Holiday Inn. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Florida International University in 1975.

John gained his first accounting experience by working the hotel night audit as a teenager and again while in college. An early interest in computers led him to buy one of the first personal computers to come on the market, and John soon realized that it was only a matter of time before mainframe computing would be replaced. Utilizing his hotel accounting experience, John worked with a computer programmer to develop his first hotel accounting system in 1985. With the advent of the Internet, a new system was soon to follow, utilizing cloud computing, an industry first. The AccKnowledge product was launched in 1998 and marketed in the industry, and M3 Hotel Accounting was born. Today, the company is the largest hotel specific accounting company in the industry, with over 2,500 properties online.

President/Chief Operating Officer Allen Read brings over 20 years of hospitality industry experience to M3 Hotel Accounting. He began his career as a front desk associate at the Best Western Hotel in Natchez, Mississippi in 1986. Upon relocating to Georgia in 1990, Allen joined McKibbon Brothers as a front desk associate at the Thomasville Holiday Inn. Over several years, he broadened his knowledge of the industry by working in a variety of roles, leading to his position as General Manager at several McKibbon-owned hotels throughout Georgia.

In 1999, Allen’s role in the company transitioned to Director of Information Services. With the development of the new McKibbon company, M3 Hotel Accounting, he became one of the company’s first employees, acting as Business Manager. In January 2002, Allen was made a Partner in the company, and promoted to Vice President of Operations. Five years later in January 2007, he was named President and Chief Operating Officer.

Allen is a graduate of Mississippi State University’s College of Engineering, and a Certified Hotel Administrator.

Vice President of Operations Casi Johnson has over 15 years of hospitality industry experience, beginning in 1995 when she worked as a front desk associate while attending college. A graduate of the University of Tennessee in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration, Casi worked in a variety of roles in the industry over the course of her career, including General Manager. In December 2000, Casi joined M3 Hotel Accounting as Director of Training. She was promoted to Support Manager in 2005 and became Vice President of Operations in 2007.

In 2009, Casi opened M3’s Tampa Florida training center, where she continues to expand the service department for new products and training. Her goals are to achieve service excellence, while maintaining efficiency to keep costs low for customers.

Casi is currently studying for her Masters of Business Administration at the University of South Florida in Tampa.

Wes Dean serves as Vice President of Information Technology. In his role, Wes leads the technology organization in the development of new software solutions, as well as overseeing the upgrade and improvement of existing products. His responsibilities include directing Research and Development (R&D) activities, and formulating long-term visions and strategies for the company’s technology and service offerings. Wes also directs the company’s hosting operations and serves as the executive security officer; as such, he directs the design, budget and capacity planning for M3’s distributed data center operations. Additionally, Wes is guiding M3 through their first Type II SAS70 Audit, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations for publicly traded companies.

Wes holds both a Bachelor’s in Management Information Systems and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia. He has also served as an infantry officer in the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army. Prior to joining M3, Wes held a variety of leadership roles in technology companies in the United States and Canada, including serving as Chief Operating Officer for Cyence International of Burlington, Ontario, Canada and CEO / CIO of Signature Technology Solutions of Atlanta, Georgia. He brings over 20 years of network operations, software development and business operations management experience to the M3 team.

Scott Watson has over twenty-six years of sales and sales management experience in the financial software industry. Scott joins M3 from Reich & Tang, a division of Natixis Global Asset Management. As National Sales Manager, he effectively led a sales team that successfully entered new markets, deployed new products and dramatically increased market share. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.

In his role, Scott Watson will lead the expansion of the M3 product line domestically and help position the company to expand its footprint internationally.
